AI Agents for Global Supply Chains: Why We Invested in Nauta

We are excited to announce our investment in Nauta, alongside Bosch Ventures, Hitachi Ventures, and Yamaha Motor Ventures, with participation from existing investors Construct Capital and Predictive Ventures. Nauta unifies fragmented operational data to create a living model of how a company operates and deploys a workforce of AI agents that reason, decide and execute in real-time.

Global supply chains are inherently complex. Parts, components, and finished goods move across various sites, warehouses, supplier networks, and borders every day. The underlying operational data lives across internal systems, carrier portals, spreadsheets, and email threads, as teams often have to manually reconcile documents, handle exceptions, and chase status updates.

We believe this is exactly where agentic AI provides a clear advantage. It is exceptionally good at making sense of unstructured inputs, whether from emails, different systems, or inconsistent document formats, and turning them into actionable outputs. Agents are designed to reason across data sources and resolve issues quickly. They are also designed to understand the impact of supply chain disruptions, such as weather events or geopolitical conflicts across interlinked and multi-dependent supplier networks. We invested in Nauta because we believe companies that build agentic AI on top of a unique, domain-specific data layer will drive real business impact as AI capabilities continue to improve.

The Operational Layer

Nauta's platform is built on three key pillars. An integration engine ingests data from sources such as ERP, TMS, WMS, and communication channels, combining it into a full picture of what is happening across the supply chain. A context engine then learns from every transaction and compounds operational knowledge over time. Finally, specialized AI agents execute workflows across supplier management, inventory planning, and logistics coordination. Together, this is the foundation that Nauta is positioning as the operational brain.

These agents are the connective tissue of supply chain operations. They find anomalies such as delays or disruptions and then proactively source alternatives or coordinate replacements across supplier networks. Over time, this operational layer creates a flywheel of domain-specific knowledge that compounds across customers.

Fast Time to Value

Nauta is deployed alongside existing systems rather than replacing them. That removes the long periods of integration work typically required before any real impact is felt. Customers connect their existing systems, deploy Nauta’s agents, and see operational impact almost immediately. AI agents pick up company-specific workflows and deepen their understanding of the customer's environment once they are embedded into day-to-day operations. This is how Nauta can scale one workflow at a time across tasks such as supplier management, inventory planning, and logistics coordination.

Direct and Measurable Business Impact

What resonated most with us during diligence is the direct and measurable impact of the platform. Supply chain teams gain additional operational intelligence to support their daily decisions, with agents working alongside them around the clock and responding immediately to disruptions. After implementing Nauta, customers have reported measurable changes: freed-up working capital, reduced inventory requirements, and fewer resources tied up in tasks such as exception management or tariff declarations. Most importantly, teams no longer have to pour resources into routine tasks such as data entry and can instead focus on critical operational decisions, supported by agents that provide the analytics and propose the next best course of action.

Why We Invested

  1. We believe agentic capabilities are core to handling the specific challenges of global supply chains. The fast pace and volatility of logistics operations have become a competitive moat for those who adopt agentic capabilities on top of proprietary data.
  2. More usage improves agent performance across the customer base as the platform becomes more embedded in day-to-day operations while agents execute at machine speed.
  3. Most importantly, we believe in the Nauta team around Valentina and Rafael. We see the same dynamics at play across industrial goods, manufacturing, and automotive supply chains and view those as logical next expansion markets.

We are excited to partner with the Nauta team as they build the agentic AI operational backbone for global supply chains.
